2. Online cooling-off right
Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act) applies, a consumer may cancel a qualifying online purchase of goods without giving a reason within seven (7) days after receiving them. No cancellation penalty applies; the consumer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
To exercise this right, email us within the applicable period with your order number and the product concerned. Certain statutory exclusions may apply, including goods that by their nature cannot be returned or that deteriorate or expire rapidly. The application of an exclusion is assessed under the law, not by a blanket cosmetics rule.
Where section 44 applies, any payment already made will be refunded within 30 days of cancellation, subject to the statutory provisions. Other applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.
3. Incorrect, damaged or defective goods
Contact us promptly if you receive an incorrect, damaged, unsafe or defective product. Include your order reference, a description and photographs where helpful. Stop using any product that appears unsafe.
Subject to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), qualifying goods that fail the statutory quality requirements may be returned within six (6) months of delivery, at the supplier’s risk and expense and without penalty, for the remedy available under section 56, including the consumer’s choice of repair, replacement or refund where applicable. Statutory rights cannot be excluded by this policy.
4. Voluntary exchanges and hygiene
Outside mandatory statutory rights, we may consider exchange or store credit for an unused, unopened product in resaleable condition, with original packaging and proof of purchase, where requested within fourteen (14) days of delivery. Such goodwill exchanges are subject to approval and stock availability.
For hygiene, safety and product integrity, we generally cannot offer voluntary change-of-mind exchanges of opened, unsealed, used, contaminated or improperly stored skincare products. This restriction does not limit any statutory cancellation, defective-goods or other non-excludable right.
5. How to request a return
Email harmonytouchaest@gmail.com with your full name, order number, product name and reason for the request. We will provide a return reference and instructions before you send products back.
Return items securely packed. For legally covered defects, incorrect goods or other supplier fault, we will bear reasonable return costs as required by law. For qualifying section 44 cooling-off returns, the customer may bear only the direct return-shipping cost permitted by law.
6. Refund method and processing
Approved refunds will ordinarily be made to the original payment method where technically possible. Refund processing by a payment provider or bank can require additional clearing time; this does not change mandatory statutory refund deadlines.
We will notify you once a refund has been processed and advise you if further details are reasonably required.
7. Delivery, unavailable stock and cancellation
Available delivery or collection methods, costs and estimated timeframes are disclosed at checkout and in order confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed, online orders are subject to the ECT Act’s performance requirements, including the general 30-day order-performance rule.
If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly about suitable lawful options. Where we cannot perform because goods are unavailable, we will refund payments within the legally prescribed period.
8. Product information and safe use
Product packaging and official manufacturer instructions should be followed. Check ingredients and warnings before use and seek advice where necessary. Individual skincare outcomes vary, and online product descriptions are not a medical diagnosis.
Any misdescription, inaccurate pricing or error will be handled fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
9. Complaints and dispute resolution
Send complaints to harmonytouchaest@gmail.com. We aim to respond promptly and resolve disputes reasonably. Consumers remain free to use applicable statutory consumer-complaint and dispute-resolution procedures.
10. Privacy and related website terms
Customer information is processed according to our Privacy Policy. Online purchases are additionally subject to our Terms & Conditions and the applicable mandatory consumer-protection laws.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy by publishing a revised version. An update will not retrospectively remove statutory rights relating to an existing purchase. If a clause conflicts with mandatory South African consumer law, that law prevails.
